UGA Parent Leadership Council Mailer Creates Excitement In lieu of Meeting In-Person

The Parents Leadership Council at the University of Georgia is a group of highly engaged parents who are eager to be involved on campus and make a direct impact on undergraduate student life. Cancellations due to COVID-19 made it impossible for them to conduct their annual meeting, so they had to find a way to keep more than 250 parents on the council active and engaged.

Packaged mailers have become incredibly popular with the rise of virtual events. That’s because providing tangible, useful, and sought-after promotional products help maintain excitement, keep a sense of school pride, and provide a feeling of togetherness.

Working together, the team at Magellan Promotions created a mailable solution (handling all fulfillment and mailing) with a roll-up picnic blanket, drink koozies, and an insert card. The insert card gave instructions, provided pertinent information about the virtual meeting time, and featured a scavenger hunt on the back for exploring Athens, Georgia. The blanket and koozies are fun options to use when parents are able to visit campus again.

So it was easier to just remove merch from the shows.  However, this year NACAC updated their exhibitor guidelines and now certain types of merch are approved. These items include pens, lanyards, keychains, small magnets, pennants and buttons. We are pleased that NACAC now recognizes the clear benefits of branded merch for collegiate

Bridging Physical and Digital: How NFC Technology Enhances Recruitment Marketing

Smart NFC Branded Merch Branded merch has been a marketing vehicle since the first time someone etched their name into the side of a pen. Fast forward a few hundred years, and we find ourselves using technology to amplify marketing messaging, creating more engaging, interactive, and powerful branded merch.
