Position Summary
The promotional products industry is a crowded, highly competitive marketplace. It’s hard to earn attention because most organizations already are working with a provider that they are happy with. So to be successful, you will need to create marketing campaigns that resonate with target audiences and show them how we are uniquely qualified to help them solve their challenges. In this role, you will focus on offering our services to specific selected markets. To do this successfully, you will understand the goals and challenges of the market, and then create marketing strategies with the result of helping our clients grow their community through promotional product solutions.
This position may be 100% remote or be performed out of our corporate office in West Allis, a suburb of Milwaukee, WI.
Position Description
You will oversee and implement a suite of marketing tactics to 3-4 chosen market segments. In this role, you will manage marketing from ideation and strategy creation through multichannel execution and measurement. You will build, activate, and maintain a marketing program that attracts target clients, builds affinity for Magellan Promotions, engages clients (both new and existing), and maximizes sales within the vertical markets.
Areas of Focus
Marketing Plan: Develop and execute a multichannel annual marketing plan for each market the business chooses to target.
Execution: Lead the execution of marketing initiatives from start to finish, coordinating and strategizing with sales and production teams.
Thought Leadership – Create content (articles, presentations, white papers, webinars, etc.) specifically designed to position Magellan Promotions within the target markets as the promotional product agency of choice.
Industry Expertise: Capture, identify, and analyze client insights, industry trends, and relevant marketing best practices to build effective marketing strategies that resonate with our audiences.
Sales Enablement: Develop resources (content, tools, knowledge, and information) to help the team develop tailored solutions to grow sales.
Direct Mail Campaigns: Identify, create and implement direct mail campaigns that provide opportunities to connect with target audiences and drive new sales.
Content Creation: Create written content that influences, educates, and motivates action. Content creation includes e-newsletters, blogs, project stories, social media, and print collateral.
Events and Conferences: Identify, evaluate and recommend conferences to attend annually to connect with existing clients, and generate new leads. This role is responsible for helping ensure a successful result for each event/conference.
Measurement and Evaluation: Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across platforms to gain key insights that shape current and future marketing strategies.
If selected for the role, you will go through a thorough on-boarding process to build a firm understanding of the business. This will help you understand what is important to our targeted contacts and why. With this background you will be able to put together marketing campaigns that fit with our company’s unique value proposition and mission.
Metrics
The effectiveness of this role is measured in a number of ways, including overall sales and engagement with the target audiences. To drive effectiveness, you will establish a closed-loop analytics process to understand how the marketing activities are turning into prospects and customers.

You will connect continually with the other marketing segment managers to collaborate and share best practices, ideas and success stories.
